Since our founding in the early 1990’s BECI has sought to establish and maintain relationships with our clients through superior customer service and sensible solutions. We believe that the only way to achieve these goals is through hiring and building a team that takes pride in our work while pursuing excellence in everything we do.

Although our BECI offices span across the US, we maintain a consistent and overarching work culture that we’re very proud of. Our mantra for this culture and attitude is summed up in the slogan “One BECI”. Our collaboration spans across every branch.

    Joseph Ferrell is a grounded leader who brings common-sense solutions to the building envelope consulting industry. A firm realist, he believes better decisions come from confronting the facts—no matter how tough they may be. At BECI, Joseph embodies the company’s servant-leadership culture, living by a favorite saying from his grandfather: “Ain’t no one above cleaning toilets.”

    What he values most about BECI is its genuine “Work Hard, Play Hard” culture and people-first atmosphere. Outside of work, Joseph enjoys golf, grilling, watching sports, and spending time with family.

Outside the office, Jimmy enjoys time with his wife, family, 2 grandchildren, playing golf, and rooting for his favorite teams, the Florida Gators, St. Louis Blues, and St. Louis Cardinals.

    Josh Tatum is a Building Enclosure Consultant who believes that true success comes from preparation, knowledge, and strong relationships. He’s passionate about raising awareness of the importance of building enclosures and takes pride in being a trusted resource for clients when it matters most. At BECI, it’s the people and long-standing relationships that keep him inspired. And while he’s usually cool under pressure, his co-workers might be surprised to know—he’s cried once (just once).

    Zach Newman thrives in BECI’s family-first culture—after all, it’s not only where he found his career, but where he met his wife. Known for his love of sports, golf, and woodworking, Zach brings that same hands-on, team-oriented approach to his work. He’s an open book, but people are always surprised to learn he shares a birthday with both his sister and his nephew. His motto? “You’re killing me, Smalls!”—a reminder not to take life too seriously.

Heroes get remembered but legends never die, follow your heart kid, and you’ll never go wrong.”

    Chase McInnis lives by the motto “Don’t quit…never give up,” a mantra that shows up in everything he does—from building strong relationships on the job to crushing drives on the golf course. At BECI, he values the family-like atmosphere and the meaningful friendships he’s built, both inside and outside the office. A serious history buff (especially when it comes to WWII), Chase is always down for a good documentary or a classic like The Longest Day. When he’s not working, you’ll probably find him on the putting green or glued to college football—Go Noles!

As he continues to dive deeper into the building envelope world, he’s passionate about helping others understand the “why” behind waterproofing—it’s not just what’s wrong or right, it’s about the reasons that matter. What Garrett enjoys most about working at BECI? The people. From friends he’s made across the company to the everyday kindness and support, it’s the culture that stands out. The flexible schedule doesn’t hurt either! Garrett describes himself as honest, hardworking, and always down for a good laugh.

    Ian Murphy is all about improving the quality of construction one project at a time. With a passion for doing things the right way, he’s focused on raising the standard in the building industry. Known for being funny, outgoing, and a hard-worker, he brings energy to everything he does. A fun fact most don’t know? Ian’s got some serious musical skills—he can play several instruments!

    Kyle Moseley is all about growth—both his own and helping others level up in their careers. Off the clock, Kyle enjoys playing with his toddler daughter, kicking back with a good movie or show, exploring new spots on date nights, and sharpening his skills with shooting and weapons training. He brings a balanced, focused energy to everything he does.

    Mark Knesal started working in the construction industry over a decade ago as a survey rod man and performing construction inspections on civil utility and land development projects. At BECI, Mark enjoys the split between office and field work with the opportunity to not only connect with peers but to be a positive influence in the life of the end user for our projects. A lifelong learner, Mark believes there’s always another secret to uncover and enjoys spending his time outside of work with his wife and son, swimming, scuba diving, exploring the woods, cooking for his family/friends, and reading on a variety of topics including ancient history, philosophy, theology, and fantasy novels. Typically, a quiet and reserved person, most people would be surprised to know Mark has a sense of adventure that has given him many exciting stories from dancing on the deck of a sunken ship to riding on the backs of sharks.

    Matt Sorrow brings nearly a decade of hands-on construction experience to the table, with roots in skilled trades that go all the way back to his early teens working with his dad. What he values most about BECI is the unique balance it offers—staying connected to the field he loves while leading BECI’s work in fast-growing Nashville. Matt thrives in an environment where collaboration is key and coworkers feel like an extension of family, even across state lines. When he’s not on the job, you might find him perfecting a pot of homemade chili (especially on a rainy day), or out in the woods with his amazing wife, Abby.

At BECI, Max thrives on the strong sense of teamwork and community that makes showing up each day meaningful. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find him golfing, fishing, or catching up with friends and family.

In his mid-20’s, Nick worked as a rock climbing guide—proof that he’s always up for a challenge, whether it’s on the job site or scaling cliffs.

    Rodney Propst starts each day with the mindset, “Either you run the day or the day runs you.” He brings that proactive spirit into every project he touches. In the building envelope industry, Rodney is passionate about strengthening client relationships and believes that what BE-CI does truly matters. Identifying most with the core value of Servant, he views humility and a heart for service as essential qualities of strong leadership—values he brings to both his team and clients. Off the job, Rodney’s coworkers might be surprised to learn he’s just as talented in the kitchen. In fact, he once dreamed of becoming a chef before his path led to engineering. Today he still enjoys cooking for his family and feeding his passion for service in every part of life.
