I feel I identify the most with the Servant core value, as architects and engineers like myself need to be aware that the work we do is not meant to be for us, but for others.

Creative, hardworking, thoughtful

Are you a pessimist, optimist or realist and why do you think it helps you make the decisions you make?

I feel I am an optimist with a dose of realism, understanding the real-life constraints and preexisting frameworks before developing an ambitious and imaginative solution. I feel this realistic optimism perspective allows me to challenge preconceived notions while developing a solution that can be implementable.

What is something in your industry that you hope you can fix, improve, or grow?

I hope to play a role in addressing the need for adaptable, sustainable solutions for a changing world. I feel that architecture and related industries are already making great strides towards incorporating environmentally-conscious design strategies into their solutions, however I feel this aspect of the industry still has a ways to go in the normalization of these practices in both new construction and existing buildings. The normalization of these practices is something that I feel I can contribute heavily towards, especially as a design professional with a background in science and engineering.
